About the Ceremony

Dress for the Weather at Commencement

May is often a month of climate surprises. Guests are strongly encouraged to check the weather in advance. You may want to consider bringing an umbrella if it rains or dress in light layers if it is expected to be very hot. This is especially important since Commencement will be held outdoors; and, while the College does all it can to minimize the effects of climate changes, there will be some exposure to the weather. For the ladies, since you will be walking on soft grass, high heels are discouraged for your safety.
