Get Research Help from a Librarian
Miramar College Student Laptop and Book/Resources Loan Program

Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, the need for continued vigilance about safety concerns for our students, faculty, and staff related to the spread of the coronavirus is our top priority. Library services at San Diego Miramar College may shift over time in response to the latest safety concerns.

San Diego Miramar College Library will be hosting future Laptop and Library Book/Resources check in/out events periodically. Please continue to check our Library website for updates regarding the next event scheduled for the month of October.

Important Information:

**There are NO RENEWALS for all Library materials checked out during the Fall 2020 semester. Be sure to return Library materials by their due dates in order to avoid accruing fines.

**Students who were unable to pick-up their reserved laptop, book(s), and other library resource materials from the previous event MUST re-submit their online reservations.

Laptop Loan Program

Please note that San Diego Miramar College’s Library Laptops are only available to students currently enrolled at San Diego Miramar College for the Fall 2020 semester. To be eligible, students must be taking at least one class at Miramar and have no outstanding fees or holds on their account. Continue to check the library website for updates to see when online Library reservations are open.

Laptop checkouts are on a first-come-first-served basis while supplies last. Submitting a reservation online adds your name to a queue and does not guaranteed you a laptop. Students who submit their laptop reservations online and receive an email confirmation from avmira@sdccd.edu will have priority. Walk-ins are allowed, however, there is no guarantee that laptops will be available.

Books and other Library Resource Materials

San Diego Miramar College’s Library Books/Resources are available to students currently enrolled in San Diego Community College District (this includes City College and Mesa College) for the Fall 2020 semester. To be eligible, students must be taking at least one class within SDCCD (City, Mesa, or Miramar) and have no outstanding fees or holds on their account. Continue to check the Library website for updates to see when online Library reservations are open.

RETURNING YOUR CHECKED-OUT LIBRARY BOOKS

Bookdrop near the H-Building entranceDid you check out books from the library, but because of the COVID-19 campus closure you haven't been able to return them?

Even though the library remains closed, we have taken steps to make it easier for you to bring your books back. A self-service bookdrop has been set up near the main entrance to the H Building (Arts and Humanities).

To get there, enter parking lot #2 (the WiFi parking lot) from Black Mountain Road and head for the H Building. The bookdrop is located close to the curb right in front of the main entrance. Simply swing by and drop your books into the slot.

Parking lot #2 is open Monday-Thursday from 8am to 8pm and on Friday between 8am and 3pm.
