Miramar College Foundation
The Miramar College Foundation, a California IRS approved 501 (c) (3) Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation, was officially created on August 21, 1994, to help meet the needs of San Diego Miramar College students and the growth of the campus.
The purpose of the Foundation is to provide a channel for financial and other contributions to directly benefit Miramar College students. All student scholarships and all other programs administered by the Foundation are wholly dependent on the generosity of benefactors who choose to donate to the Foundation.
Miramar College Student COVID-19 Emergency Fund
The Miramar College Foundation would like to extend a helping hand to those students effected by the COVID-19 outbreak. Prior to the outbreak, many of our students were food insecure and several were homeless. Several students work in the restaurant/hospitality sector which has been hardest hit. Many students now find themselves without food, an income and limited resources in which to move their studies from the classroom to an online/remote platform. We are here to help!
To protect the health and safety of our students, faculty and staff we have closed the campus as of March 20 and moved our instruction to an online modality and our employees are now working remotely from home. We are still offering the same services but via the phone and online. At the same time, the Miramar College Foundation has established a COVID-19 Emergency Student Relief Fund. This fund will provide emergency assistance to students whose lives have been impacted by this crisis.
