The Teaching Institute provides comprehensive training and development opportunities that are designed to engage our SDICCA interns and our new and tenured faculty in the scholarship of teaching and learning, classroom research, and reflective teaching practices. The goal of the Teaching Institute is to provide professional development activities that will assist faculty in developing their teaching skills, creating collegial peer networks, and maximizing student achievement.

For those interested in participating in the Teaching Institute to receive units for tenure/salary advancement, a 4 unit course has been set up through SDSU's College of Extended Studies. For more information about how to sign up for this course and the requirements for earning the units please click here.
Teaching Institute Unit Description—Faculty Note: Enrollment in the SDSU course is not required to participate in the Teaching Institute.
