San Diego Miramar College is approved by the California State Department of Education and is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and College (WASC).

San Diego Miramar College is also approved (under Title 38 U.S. Code) by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education and the Department of Veteran Affairs Regional Office, to train United States active duty military personnel, military veterans, and their eligible dependents.
Application to the College
All VA applicants must complete the Application for Admission to San Diego Miramar College. Students who have not been in continuous attendance for one year must file a new application for admission. Applications for admissions are available on the Internet at http://studentweb.sdccd.edu
Veterans' Enrollment Information
- The majority of your classes,at least 1/2 your classes, must be taken at Miramar for us to certify you. If not, you will need to go to the campus where the majority of your classes are certified. Exceptions: majors only offered at Miramar such as Aviation, Diesel, Fire Science, etc.
- Remember to pay your fees on time or you will be dropped for nonpayment. If you are dropped, it may be difficult to get back into the classes.
- Your fall certification will be done as soon as possible. However, any classes you add or drop after you are certified will not be reported to the VA until September 7th.
