Overview of Services
MENTAL HEALTH: Counseling by licensed professionals is at no cost to students. Counselors can help with management of stress for academic and personal success. Confidential counseling services include: assessment, referral, crises intervention. Call for counseling or walk in for services 619-388-7881.
|Limited primary care visits with a registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner or MD for acute, chronic or episodic complaints-at no cost to students. Prescriptions and over the counter medications may be available on site. Appointments prefered but not necessary call 619-388-7881.|
Student Health Services at San Diego Miramar College serves students who are registered and currently attending at least one class on campus and have paid the student health fee. Open since Fall 1998, the Health Services Office is located in Building K2 in room K2-102. The Health Services Office is open during each semester (Fall, Spring and Summer). Hours vary so call the office for current operating hours.
Student Health Services offers limited primary care health services. This is not a health insurance plan nor is it a substitute for health insurance. Student Health Services provides a range of clinical and mental counseling.

The staff of Student Health Services is committed to prevention of illness, injury and disease through education. During the Fall and Spring semesters, Student Health Services coordinates activities out on the campus to recognize relevant health topics and national health campaigns.
Educational information sheets and pamphlets are available inside the health office. Topics inculde a wide variety of health topics, wellness, dental, vision and community resources. Health and Wellness Center Hours
