CalWORKs: California Work Opportunity & Responsibility to Kids

Eligibility Criteria:

• Be currently on CalWorks with the County Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA)
• Need to be enrolled in at least 1 unit at Miramar College
• Provide a current Notice of Action from Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA).
• Bring a referral form from the County
• Need copy of your Welfare-to-Work Plan

Program Services:

• Vocational Counseling
• Verification to County of your 32–35 hour welfare-to-work activities
• Provide childcare assistance
• Tutoring assistance
• Career and Life workshops
• Referral to on-campus and off-campus resources
• Job Placement Opportunities
