Online Orientation

New students are encouraged to complete the online Orientation prior to taking the placement test.

Students are exempt from the English and Math placement tests if they:

• Have earned an Associate in Arts degree or higher
• Have completed prerequisite English and math courses
• Have enrolled in an apprenticeship program
• Are concurrently enrolled at a four-year college
• Have received a qualifying score on the College Board Advanced Placement English or Math Exam
• Have taken the placement tests within the last three years

Below are the directions to the online Orientation:

• Go to http://online.sdccd.edu
• Username: miramar
• Password: sdccd
• As you complete the Orientation, please fill out the Orientation Learning Outcomes form (see "Important Documents" in right sidebar). If you do not have a copy of the Orientation Learning Outcomes Form, please print it and complete it as you proceed through this orientation.
• Bring the completed "Orientation Learning Outcomes" form to the test session, or return to the Counseling Department.
