Welcome to the Counseling Center at San Diego Miramar College. We provide academic, career, and personal counseling to students. We have day/evening walk-in appointments (15–20 minutes) and scheduled appointments (1 hour). We also offer classes and workshops throughout the semester to meet the diverse interests and needs of students.
General Counseling Information
The Counseling Office is located on the 2nd floor of the Student Services Building(K1), in room K1-203.
The Counseling Office is open Monday–Thursday, 8am–6pm. and Friday, 8am–3pm.
ATTENTION: DUE TO DISTRICT-WIDE COUNSELING CONFERENCE, COUNSELORS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE ON FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 7TH.

How to Make an Appointment
1 hour appointments for long-term planning may be scheduled in person or by calling us at (619) 388-7840 or (858) 536-7840. If you have attended colleges or universities other than City, Mesa, Miramar or ECC, you will need to have an official copy of your transcript(s) sent to our district office at: San Diego Community College District, Attn: Records, 3375 Camino del Rio South, San Diego, CA, 92108-3883. You will also need to request to have your transcripts evaluated before you can schedule an appointment with a counselor. Long-term planning appointments are available throughout the year, except during the registration period.
Walk-in counseling is availble for quick questions, semester planning or academic related advising. It provides a way for you to see a counselor to get a quick answer to a quick question. Walk-in counselors are available at all times in which the Counseling Office is open.
