Welcome to the Counseling Center at San Diego Miramar College. We provide academic, career, and personal counseling to students. We have day/evening walk-In appointments (15–20 minutes) and scheduled appointments (one hour). We also offer classes and workshops throughout the semester to meet the diverse interests and needs of students.
General Counseling Information
The Counseling Office is located on the 2nd floor of the Student Services Building, room K-203.
The Counseling Office is open Monday–Thursday, 8am–6pm. and Friday, 8am–3pm. (During the summer session, Counseling is closed on Fridays). You may contact the Counseling Department at (619) 388-7840 or (858) 536-7840.
How to Make an Appointment
You can go to the Counseling Office in K-203 or make an appointment by calling (619) 388-7840 or (858) 536-7840. If you have attended colleges or universities other than City, Mesa or ECC, you will need to have an official copy of your transcript sent to our district office at San Diego Community College District, Attn: Records, 3375 Camino del Rio South, San Diego, CA, 92108-3883. You will also need to request to have your transcripts evaluated by an evaluator before you may schedule an appointment with a counselor. Appointments are about one hour in length and are only available during certain times of the year.
Walk-in counseling provides a way for you to see a counselor to get a quick answer to a quick question (one that can be covered in 15 to 20 minutes). Records from other colleges are not available for this session. Walk-in counselors are available at all times in which the Counseling Office is open.
