About the Center

The Child Development Center

The Child Development Center operates as an instructional program for students and parents and offers a State-funded preschool program for children, ages 2 to 5, of parents attending San Diego Miramar College. The center offers a rich variety of classroom and outdoor activities for children, which encourage a sense of self-worth and creative expression.

The Child Development Center is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), licensed by the California Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing, Title 22 (Division 12) and meets the guidance of the California Department of Education, Title 5. The Center staff meets the education qualifications for Child Development Permits, issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentials.
