Getting Started
New Students
New students are those students that have never attended college or have completed less than 12 units of college work. If you have never attended Miramar, Mesa or City College:
- Fill out an application. You can apply online at http://studentweb.sdccd.net
- Sign up for Assessment and Orientation at the Counseling Office. At the orientation session you will meet with a counselor who give you an overview of the college and help you to select classes for your initial semester.
Transfer Students:
- Complete an application at the Admissions Office.
- Have your official transcript(s) for your previous college(s) mailed to 3375 Camino del Rio South, San Diego, CA, 92108 as soon as possible.
If you did not complete a math or English course at your previous college, with a grade of 'C' or better you may want to make an assessment appointment at the Counseling Office so that you can meet prerequisites foe math and English classes.
Returning Students:
- If you have not attended Miramar for more than 2 terms, you will need to fill out a new application at the ADMISSIONS OFFICE. You can apply online at http://studentweb.sdccd.net. This application does not need to be on file to see a drop-in counselor.
