Mission Statement

The mission of Miramar's Basic Skills Task Force is to design a comprehensive system of early intervention and sustained attention for student with basic skills needs in order to enhance retention, persistence and success.

Basic Skills Program Goals:

1. To provide all students with the fundamental skills, knowledge and habits necessary for academic success by means of a comprehensive support system at Miramar College.

2. To continuously aim toward the improvement and growth of the basic skills program at Miramar College 

3. To collect data and record changes in student success rates for the purpose of Basic Skills Program review and and the self-guided development of the program.
