We hire tutors at the beginning of each fall and spring semester. You must have a desire to assist Miramar's students with their learning, be a good student yourself, and take Education 100, Tutor Training.
The PLACe is always looking for new tutors in math, writing, reading and study skills! The PLACe hires its tutors at the beginning of every semester. If you're interested in becoming a tutor, please fill out the application and availability sheet, and then submit both to room D-106. All applicants must take a competency test and interview with a PLACe Faculty Member during the first 2 weeks of the regular semester. If hired, new tutors must take Education 100, a one unit tutor training course.
Our receptionists are an integral part to keeping The PLACe running smoothly. We need friendly, energetic people to answer our phones, schedule appointments, and perform clerical work. The ability to multi-task is a must! If you feel you are right for the job, please submit the completed application and availability sheet to room D-106. Interviews begin at the beginning of every semester.
