You may print out documents using a plastic card (card is free
when you put $1.00 worth of copies on it) obtained from the InterCard machine
(located near the copiers) which will deduct 15 cents per page as you print. You
can add money to the same card with dollar bills, so you don't have to fill your
wallet with plastic cards. You can also add money to the card at the
copier machines. |

Three photocopy machines are available. Copies are 10 cents each (11" x
17"
paper is 15 cents each) and can be paid by coin, dollar bills, and copy
cards. |
 |
Copy cards may be purchased from a vending machine that is located
next to the copiers. The machine also regenerates (adds more money to) used copy
cards. Copy cards may also be used for computer printouts. |
Staff at the Check-Out desk can clear paper jams and refill paper cassettes
for the copy machines. More technical problems are referred to the machines'
vendor.

Miramar College Library/LRC shares the same online catalog as City and Mesa
college libraries. If you want an item that is shelved at City or Mesa, you may
request it be sent to Miramar. NOTE: This process may take up to three
working days, so please plan accordingly. |
To order materials, first go to the Reference Desk. The librarian will fill
out a form that you will take to the Circulation Desk for processing. You will
be notified by telephone when your materials are ready to be picked up at
Miramar.
This service is free, but you are limited to borrowing three
interlibrary loan items at a time. You must return at least one item
before you can interlibrary loan another item.

Reserve is a dynamic collection, changing each semester depending on instructor
requests. Materials in this collection may include supplemental class readings, photocopied
articles, videos, or sample tests. Reserve materials
are listed in a three-ring
binder atop the indoor Book Drop and in the
SanD PAC.
A current SDCCD student ID card is required to
use Reserve materials. |
Instructors who wish to put items on Reserve should fill out a
form and
turn it in to the staff at the Circulation Desk. Processing may take up to three working
days until the materials are available for student use. Materials cannot stay on
"permanent reserve" and must be removed by the end of each semester.
