
The program provides all training required for state licenses as well as for each of the areas tested for National Automotive Service Excellence certification. A Certificate Program is offered in Automotive Electrical, Automotive Engine, Automotive Transmission, or Automotive Brakes and Suspension which consists of required patterns of certificate courses. An Associate in Science Degree Program is also offered in Automotive Technology. This includes 42 1/2 units of courses required for the Major, and the additional General Education requirements for an A.S. degree listed in the current college catalog. |
Many of the components are designed to allow the student to be working in a dealership shop environment in the current area of training they are receiving. The two internship programs currently being offered are supported by the Chrysler Corporation, and by the Toyota Corporation. These programs can be reviewed from the main Automotive page.
