Head CoachBowers played for the Wizards from 1996-99, and earned the team's Defender of the Year award twice. He also served as team captain for the 1999 season. Bowers recently retired as a member of the San Diego Sockers of the Major Indoor Soccer League. He is the only person in NPSL/MISL history to achieve at least 800 blocks and 800 points. He was a 2002 MISL All-Star and the league's Defender of the Year with the Baltimore Blast. During 2002-03, he also served as the team's interim head coach. Bowers is a 3 time Defender of the Year in the MISL.

Bowers has also been a member of the U.S. National Futsal Team since 1995, earning 36 international caps. He has been the team captain since 1998. The team won the 2004 CONCACAF gold medal and played in the 2004 World Cup in Taiwan in November. He also saw time with the Detroit Rockers of the National Professional Soccer League from 1991-95 and 2000-01. In 1991, he was the league's Rookie of the Year as the Rockers won the NPSL championship. He was a four-time All-Star and two-time Defender of the Year.

In addition to his coaching stint with the Baltimore Blast, Bowers' resume includes extensive coaching experience. He was an assistant coach for the Detroit Rockers of the NPSL in 2000-01. He was a head coach and assistant coach of the Michigan Hawks, Under-23 women's select team that won the 2001 U.S. Open Cup. In 1999, he was an assistant coach for William Jewell College, an NAIA school in Liberty, Mo.

When Sean was traded to SD Sockers he became the Asst. coach for the Women's Soccer Team at California Baptist University in 2003-2005 and last year became Head Women's Soccer coach at CBU and led the team to a #9 ranking in NAIA. He has recently coached the San Diego Sealions (semi-pro) to their first Final Four appearance in 2006.

A native of San Diego, Bowers graduated from Quincy (Ill.) College in 1991 with a bachelor's degree in political science. He also has earned his Masters in Exercise Science from California University of Pennsylvania and his Performance Enhancement Specialist certificate from NASM. Sean is married to Maria for the past 11 years and has three wonderful kids Aydan (9), Isabella (7) and Gracie (5).




Jennifer Lalor

Women's Soccer Coach

Jen played on the USA Women's National Soccer Team from 1992-1995. She also played in the Women's World Cup in 1995 in Sweden and won a bronze medal. Jen played professionally in Japan, Denmark, and Sweden and played in the WUSA for New York Power and San Diego Spirit.

Her college soccer experience was played at Santa Clara University and will be inducted in the Hall of Fame in May of 2008. She is the current Varsity Soccer Coach at Poway High School and is the assistant coach here at Miramar College.

Jen currently plays on the Sea Lions, a semi-pro team in San Diego.

Jen believes in helping local soccer talent and has started her own skills/shooting training program for individual players in San Diego called JB Soccer.





Mike Gentry
Women's Goalkeeper Coach

Goalkeeper coachMike has been a Goalkeeper Coach for twenty years, and has been involved with Club Soccer programs; Colorado Rush, SDSC (Formally Renegades) and Millennium Soccer School. Mike received his USSF Goalkeeper License in the inaugural course in 2006. Mike has been in all aspects of the San Diego soccer scene for over 20 years, and now brings his knowledge to Miramar College.
