Div.I NCAA scholarship swimmer and water polo player for Fresno State University. Swam and played water polo locally at San Diego Mesa College.

Over 26 years experience coaching at all levels in the United States and Internationally. Many players have gone on to appointments at elite academies across the nation.

Grandfathered by USA Water Polo at the highest level for coaching certification: Master Level 5

Recent accomplishments:

  • 2005 Women's NCAA Div.III National Coach of the year award winner.
  • 2005 Guided the Pomona Pitzer College women's program to the Div.III National Collegiate water polo championship and won the Div.III National Title outright.
  • 2005 Guided the Pomona Pitzer College women's water polo program to the SCIAC Championship title game against Redlands University.
  • 2004 Turned the Pomona Pitzer College men's program around with their best season in a decade. First season where the men's team was competitive with SCIAC and WWPA adversaries.
  • 2004 UCSD Men's collegiate water polo club coach. Spearheaded development as coach of the successful UCSD men's collegiate water polo club program with strong finishes in the CWPA.
  • 2003 San Diego men's 20 and under elite zone coach. Athletes would all go on to NCAA collegiate appointments after graduation.
  • 2003 Rancho Bernardo HS girls water polo coach. The lady broncos won their first San Diego CIF Title in Div.I water polo defeating Fallbrook HS. First season Carlsbad and Poway were not in the section finals.
  • 1999-2002 Palomar College men's water polo head coach. Restructured the men's program not only with top finishes in the water, but sent all athletes beyond the pool to major universities! Started the Stars water polo program to benefit the local communities and positively help local high school programs.
