On April 13, two dozen local high school students took part in Miramar College's annual career education "Signing Day." Students pledged to attend to attend Miramar College in the future and study as career technical program such as auto, aviation, child development, business or diesel technology.
Miramar College's Career Technical Education program hosted a "Signing Day" on April 13 for local high school students pledging a commitment to attend a Miramar College CTE program after high school graduation.
Thirteen San Diego area high school students attended the event and pledged a commitment to study either Automotive Technology or Diesel Technology at the college. Two lucky students received the newly created Career Education Inspire Scholarship.

This year the Cal Coast Cares Foundation is providing more than $60,000 in scholarships to foster students in San Diego and Riverside Counties to help them pursue their dreams of obtaining a college education! The California Coast Credit Union was founded in 1929 by local educators, and the non-profit Cal Coast Cares Foundation was created in 2015 to continue their legacy by supporting the local education community, including student scholarships and educator grants.
