Welcome to the Aviation Maintenance Program

Photo of an airplane during Red Bull Air Races The Aeronautics Program provides a sequence of coursework fulfilling the FAA training requirements for a Mechanic's Certificate, which is recognized for employment throughout the aviation industry. This sequence also leads to State recognized Certificates of Achievement, Associate of Science Degrees, and fulfills the lower division coursework for Bachelor degrees.

The program is intended for students interested in exploring a career in aviation, those currently pursuing aviation employment and those already employed in this industry seeking to upgrade their job skills. Many students come to the program from recent military service. The program also provides training for aircraft owners and operators who are interested in maintaining their aircraft as well as those who wish to build their own aircraft to FAA recognized Amateur-Built standards.

Enrollment Requirements
  • Must be 18 years or old
  • Basic English and math skills
  • Hand-tool set
  • Day and evening classes are available.
FAA Credit Available
  • Qualified military experience
  • Other applicable work experience
Low Cost Tuition
  • Veterans Affairs benefits, scholarships and financial aid are available for tuition and materials
