Faculty - Recommendation elected by committee - Two Year Term

Committee Membership:

Administrators (3) Classified (4) Faculty (7) Students (1)

The Committee will elect a Vice-Chair in the first meeting of the current Chair's last year. The Vice Chair will become the Committee's recommendation for the new Chair the following year. Committee membership for administrators is designated by position held and shall include the Vice President of Administrative Services, VPI & VPSS. Faculty representation shall include at least one person from the Student Services division, one from Academic Programs and one from Vocational Programs. One of the Classified Staff members will be the Accounting Supervisor. Student membership rotates on an annual basis.

Goals & Issues

The inextricable connection between planning and budget dictates the twofold mission of this committee:

1. To develop and direct the process for long and short-term strategic planning.
2. To review the budget allocation model on this Campus. This process includes:
• coordinating and directing the planning process on campus;
• analyzing budget trends to assist planning;
• recommending areas for program funding;
• reviewing campus workplans.

Procedures & Calendar

The Planning and Budget Committee will;

• Establish general calendars to include identifying workplan due dates
• Maintain an open workplan policy allowing any campus personnel the right to submit workplans.
• Recommend Faculty and Administrative representation in all college wide strategic and master planning efforts
• Review Campus and District funding reports annually.
• Recommend to the Academic Senate at least one faculty member to participate in, and with the Vice President of Administrative Services, regularly provide reports from the District Budget Council.

Committee will meet no less than once per month at a regularly scheduled time.
