Note: this is a decision making committee of the Academic Senate. Committee membership is for six years. This is not a maximum limit because it is recognized that the bulk of knowledge necessary on this committee requires well-informed membership.

Goals & Issues

Assures compliance with district/state policies and regulations on curriculum approval processes and to serve as an advocate in encouraging Faculty to update curriculum and catalog information. Issues will also arise from statewide Academic Senate and our District Curriculum Instructional Council

Procedures & Calendar

The committee follows SDCCD Policy 5300 and Procedures 5300.2. As a guide, it uses the Miramar College Guide to the Curriculum (revised version May 24, 1999). In addition, it follows the conditions set forth by California Community Colleges' Chancellor's Office in the Curriculum Standards Handbooks, September 2001.

Committee will meet no less than once per month at a regularly scheduled time.
