Co-Chairs - Faculty Department Chair - Recommendation elected by Committee - One Year Term, and Vice President of Instruction

Committee Composition:

Administrators (6) Classified (3) Faculty (minimum 16) Students (3)

Committee Membership
COMMITTEE MEMBERSHIP for administrators, is designated by position held and shall include all School Deans, the VPI and VPSS. Faculty representation shall include all department chairs, the articulation officer, curriculum committee chair, Honors coordinator, the PLACe Director, the chair of Tech committee, and DSPS. Classified membership shall be selected to represent Admissions, Public Safety programs and student evaluations. Student membership rotates on annual basis.

Voting MembersTHE VOTING MEMBERSHIP consists of the School Deans, VPI, VPSS, all instructional department chairs and the articulation officer. Faculty voting membership shall be a minimum of 4 faculty from each School to include department chairs and the articulation officer.

At the end of each spring semester the committee faculty shall elect a faculty Co-Chair from among its voting membership. It's first order of business each year beginning in Fall will be to determine and list the membership using the above formula.

Goals & Issues

Monitors instructional space utilization. Discusses instructional operational issues including class scheduling, enrollment management and educational policy matters. Provides for a means of assisting instructors in the acquisition, repair & maintenance of classroom equipment & materials. Facilitates instructors' access to reprographics and audio visual materials. Facilitates enrollment procedures. Reviews student petitions.

Committee Procedures and Calendar:

Committee will meet no less than once per month at a regularly scheduled time.
