The goal of the Aviation Operations Program is to provide college level coursework for students interested in pursuing careers in aviation, advancing their general aviation experience, or continuing aviation study by transferring to baccalaureate awarding institutions.
Miramar College's Aviation Operations Program offers two Associate in Science Degrees: Aviation Operations-Management and Aviation Operations-Professional Pilot. To receive these degrees, students must successfully pass the following courses as well as meet all general education requirements established by the San Diego Community College District.
Yes, Miramar College is an FAA part 141 Pilot Ground School authorized to provide instruction for people interested in learning to fly. Whether you'd like to pursue an Associates degree, aviation career, your next certificate or rating, refresher class or are just "checking it out," Miramar is a great place to train. Faculty are experienced industry pilots many with military and commercial airline backgrounds. Classes are small, schedules are flexible and, as a California community college, prices are affordable.
Nearly all commercial airline and military pilots have four-year college degrees.
