The goal of the Aviation Operations Program is to provide college level coursework for students interested in pursuing careers in aviation, advancing their general aviation experience, or continuing aviation study by transferring to baccalaureate awarding institutions.
Associate in Science Degree Programs
Miramar College's Aviation Operations Program offers two Associate in Science Degrees: Aviation Operations-Management and Aviation Operations-Professional Pilot. To receive these degrees, students must successfully pass the following courses as well as meet all general education requirements established by the San Diego Community College District.
I'd like to learn to fly, can San Diego Miramar College help me?
Yes, Miramar College is an FAA part 141 Pilot Ground School authorized to provide instruction for people interested in learning to fly. Whether you'd like to pursue an Associates degree, aviation career, your next certificate or rating, refresher class or are just "checking it out," Miramar is a great place to train. Faculty are experienced industry pilots many with military and commercial airline backgrounds. Classes are small, schedules are flexible and, as a California community college, prices are affordable.
Nearly all commercial airline and military pilots have four-year college degrees. Although they don't all major in aviation, if you are interested in a career in aviation an aeronautical program is a good place to start. Earning your Associates Degree in Aviation Operations-Management or Aviation Operations-Professional Pilot is an exciting and affordable way to build the the solid foundation you need to succeed in the field of aviation.

What Is ITTC?
ITTC is an educational organization partnering academia with industry in order to advance career technical education and support life long learning for people working in high-risk professions. The only training center in the world which focuses exclusively on the dynamics of high-risk teams, ITTC is positioned to meet the demands of the international community using a unique Team Resource Management methodology based on aviation industry training models, military training, and academic leadership programs.
Held in scenic Southern California, ITTC events are designed for front-line professionals, trainees, leaders and managers working in high-risk fields as well as consultants, trainers, researchers and academics interested in exploring both the challenges of work in high stress occupations and an alternative training model incorporating experiential learning modules with systems psychodynamics theories.
