2010 Accreditation Self Study

In October of 2010 we had a visit from the accreditation team from the Western Associate of Schools and Colleges (WASC). The accreditation visits are done to ensure that the College is providing students with a high quality education that meet the WASC standards. The San Diego Miramar College staff and specifically the accreditation team worked very hard in preparing for the WASC visit.

2011 Follow-up Report

A Follow Up Report to the College's 2010 Accreditation Self Study Report was submitted to the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges, Western Association of Schools and Colleges in October 2011. This report documented the College’s efforts to enhance processes which improve teaching and learning at San Diego Miramar College. A visiting team met with the college community in November 2011 to discuss progress made since the 2010 site visit and review the 2011 Follow Up Report.

2012 Follow-up Report

A Follow Up Report to the College s 2010 Accreditation Self Study Report was submitted to the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges, Western Association of Schools and Colleges in October 2012. This report documented the College’s efforts to enhance processes which improve teaching and learning at San Diego Miramar College. A visiting team met with the college community in November 2012 to discuss progress made since the 2010 site visit and review the 2012 Follow Up Report. 2009 Substantive Change Proposal

A Substantive Change Proposal for Distance Education was submitted to the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges, Western Association of Schools and Colleges in January 2009. This proposal documented the College’s instructional plan and inventory of distance education courses that represented more than 50% of classes in specific educational programs at San Diego Miramar College. 2004 Accreditation Self Study

A Self Study Report was submitted to the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges, Western Association of Schools and Colleges in October 2004. This report documented the College's current processes that guarantee excellent teaching and learning at San Diego Miramar College. A visiting team met with the college community in November 2004 to review this report and examine evidence that supports the college's compliance with both eligibility requirements and current accreditation standards.

2012 College Status Report on Student Learning Outcomes Implementation

A status report on the College's implementation of Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) was submitted to the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges, Western Association of Schools and Colleges (ACCJC/WASC) in October 2012. This report documented the College’s plans and activities designed to achieve proficiency with SLOs and improve teaching and learning at San Diego Miramar College. The report is divided into sections representing bulleted characteristics from the ACCJC's proficiency rubric for evaluating institutional effectiveness (Part III).
