Andrew Cerda

Andrew Cerda

Hello, my name is Andrew and I am a San Diego native. I received my BA in English from CSULB and decided to stay in Long Beach after graduating.  I eventually made my way back to San Diego, and after working for a number of years in the logistics field I decided to take a TESL/TEFL certificate course at CSUSM.  After completing this program I wanted to teach English to adults, so I worked part time as a classroom facilitator and instructor for the American Language Institute at CSUSM. In August 2018, I received my Master's in TESOL from Alliant International University. I enjoy spending time with my wife, reading, watching movies, listening to music, going to the beach and staying active.

Jiyun Lee

Jiyun (June) Lee

Hello! My name is Jiyun Lee and I am so thrilled to work as a tutor at Miramar College. I moved to San Diego in 2011. After earning a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature, I worked with adult ESL students. My desire to become a teacher inspired me to enroll in a TESOL program, and in 2017 graduated from Alliant International University with a Master's degree in TESOL. I enjoy traveling, reading, watching movies, and working out at the gym. Most of all, I like spending time with my husband and two energetic children. I also love to take a walk with my dog. I look forward to meeting all of you in The WELL!

I am from San Diego, attended Miramar College, and attained a BA with distinction in History at SDSU. Now, I am a History Master's candidate at SDSU in the field of early Cold War American foreign relations with a specialization in the US-West German alliance. Besides history, I also love running, swimming, literature, rock music, philosophy, exploring and adventuring in the great outdoors, cooking, woodworking, and thinking, Writing has always been a challenging and rewarding process for me and I hope to help others become more effective writers.
